With a Bachelor's degree in social work from York University and over 6 years of experience, Cindy-May is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of those who are facing challenges.
Currently, Cindy-May serves as a Crisis Counsellor at both Herizon House and the YWCA, where she works with women and children experiencing violence. She provides case management, crisis intervention, referral coordination, housing support, legal planning, and community education to meet program objectives. Her experience with domestic violence cases has honed her advocacy skills, and she is well-versed in community resources for various demographics and specific needs.
With her empathetic and caring approach, Cindy-May is an asset to the social work community. She brings her expertise to every aspect of her work and is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those she serves.”
